Media Arts Class
The CIL has partnered with Berkeley Adult School to begin teaching at the Ed Roberts Campus starting November 30th. This class is meant to teach students more about the media arts.
During the class, they will be creating videos and working with multiple other forms of media. The class will be taught every Thursday 1:30-4pm, and any member (both youth and adult) interested in learning more about media arts is invited to join!
Through partnerships between agencies, established organizations, and community participants, this program will provide continuous learning opportunities through hands on experience and creative collaboration.
Students will explore various digital media projects/formats such as music video production, digital arts advocacy, performance, and documentary filmmaking. The program aims to promote student independence, helps them be active contributing members of the community, and provides them with alternate ways for them to communicate and express themselves. They will build pre-vocational skills that can be used in professional opportunities in the future. Students will stay up to speed with technology and the digital world around them while showcasing their many talents and skills to the community.
