Join us on October 28th, 2020 for our next webinar, "Shifting Gears: How Bay Area Public Transit is Adapting to COVID-19 with Accessibility in Mind".
The panelists who are speaking with us are Bob Franklin - Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART), Customer Access & Accessibility Department Manager, Chantal Reynolds and Kim Ridgeway - AC Transit External Affairs Representative and Accessible Services Senior Program Specialist, Leonel Sanchez - Capitol Corridor from Amtrak, Deputy Managing Director, Matthew West - SFMTA | San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA) and Ian Griffiths - Seamless Bay Area, Policy Director.
Each panelist will discuss what each of their transit agencies is doing to make public transit safe from COVID-19 with accessibility in mind. Each panelist will answer the following questions:
- What steps are your transit agency taking to reduce the spread of COVID-19?
- How do these steps keep accessibility in mind?
- What are the important ADA / accessibility-related regulations that have been implemented?
- What is the best way for customers to contact your agency for concerns or complaints?
We will also answer public concerns and inquiries relating to public transportation in the Bay Area, as well as invite Seamless Bay Area, a nonprofit whose mission is to promote a more seamless Bay Area transit system, to speak about their vision for a more equitable, accessible and seamless transit system.
