Background

I graduated from the University of California Berkeley in 2021 with a B.A. in Psychology. During college, I was a Research Assistant with the Berkeley Psychophysiology Lab under Dr. Robert Levenson, and the Berkeley Personality Lab, under Dr. Oliver John. I continue to work with both labs as we finalize our computations. I'm excited to share our results soon!

How did you get involved with the Independent Living Movement?

While at college, I began participating in and working for the Disabled Students Program. Here, I learned that the Independent Living Movement started in the city I had called home for the past few years: Berkeley, CA. I became inspired to combine my own experience with Major Depressive Disorder and PTSD and my degree in Psychology to help forward the efforts of the Independent Living Movement by working with TheCIL after graduation.

Fun Facts

  • I love painting, especially with watercolors. When I was younger, I used to paint with my mother. Now, it's relaxing hobby that allows me to rest and express my creative side.
